Carmen Boykin is a screenwriter, poet, actress, and graphic artist. Born July 3rd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she is married, and the mother of four. Her second oldest daughter is Clarice Phelps, a Nuclear Chemist and Research Scientist who discovered a new element on the periodic table known as Tennessine, atomic number 117.
Carmen is currently an undergraduate enrolled at the University of Arizona Global Campus in the Forbes School of Business and Technology, for Business Administration and Management. She is a straight ‘A’ student. She is a member of the Carolina Black Film Collective in Charlotte, NC., and a former member of the Nashville Film Festival and Tennessee Screenwriters Association.
Carmen weaves worlds for innovative and iconic scripts, she primarily writes science fiction as it predicts the outcome of future realities. She also writes action-adventure, drama, and historical drama. Carmen has written several scripts and reality T.V. shows.
Carmen’s talent resume includes being a production assistant and background actress in a small indie film, Count it All Joy, and a feature film Country Strong as a reporter. Filmed with Baptist Hospital commercial as a nurse, filmed with American Insurance as an insurance agent in their training videos, and selected as a model for Regions Bank print ads.
