In 1980, Mr. Velarde began his multi-faceted career as a freelance photographer for The Los Angeles Daily News and was instrumental in photographing their highly successful Restaurant and Nightclub Guide. This general market association opened the door for becoming the Entertainment Director of Hispanic Media, the Hispanic branch of Guber-Peters Entertainment. Velarde was also instrumental in producing corporate sponsored Hispanic Cultural Music Events in the San Fernando Valley. In 1981, Velarde found himself as assistant tour manager for blues icons Buddy Guy and the late harmonica man, Junior Wells while opening for the Rolling Stones. Followed by Blues Revival Festivals with legends Big Mama Thornton, Big Jay McNeely, Joe Houston, and Koko Taylor to name a few. In 1989, Jimmy’s desire for network experience attained a staff position as a cameraman with CBS-TV City in Los Angeles. Working on many iconic shows such as The Carol Burnett Show, Redd Foxx Special, Real Time with Bill Maher, Late, Late Show with James Corden, Survivor, CBS Sports, The Rose Parade, Hollywood Bowl with John Williams, The LA Marathon. He is a member of ATAS, NARAS, SOC. Mr. Velarde currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Pacoima Historical Society.

Paul Byrne  Achievements

Paul Byrne is a screenwriter and graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He currently lives in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and owns Cool Breeze Productions, a family-owned film company that creates and markets award-winning, multi-genre short films and feature productions. Paul is currently working on and is seeking investment partners for his action-adventure thriller feature “Between 2 Worlds.”
Paul talks about what drew him to write and make his own movies by saying, "Like so many, writing is a passion of mine. My feature film screenplays range from romantic adventures to edgy crime thrillers. I'm excited about pursuing my passion full-time, and hopefully contributing my themes and ideas to the entertainment community."

Paul’s work has won several accolades over the last few years. His screenplay “Chasing Lucifer" was the Quarter Finalist at the Reno Tahoe Screenplay Contest, and Semi-Finalist at Page Turner Screenplays. “Blood Trail” was a Semi-Finalist at the 2022 27th Annual Fade In 1st 10 PGS Competition, and a Finalist at Page Turner Screenplays. Finally, “Between 2 Worlds” was a Semi-Finalist at the 2022 27th Annual Fade In 1st 10 PGS Competition and a Semi-Finalist at Page Turner Screenplays. Most of Paul’s screenplays fit neatly in the Action, Adventure, Crime, Drama, and Thriller genres. For example, “Blood Trail” is about a troubled homicide cop who must team up with his estranged father after his partner and fiancée are brutally murdered to stop a serial killer who resurfaces after 30 years. “Precious Seconds” is about a rogue D.E.A. agent who escapes from a mental ward to track down a woman he was in love with in a past life, and attempts to save her from a blood vendetta. “Chasing Lucifer” tells the story of a two-fisted female private eye who is racing the clock on 9/11 to go head-to-head with an al-Qaeda sleeper cell in an attempt to save the Pentagon on that fateful day. “Between 2 Worlds” is about a spoiled yet fearless African Princess, who is overthrown by a trusted general, and must overcome hard life lessons from a Montana rancher who encourages her to take back her country

“Midnight Child” focuses on a British pimp seeking vengeance, who kidnaps the daughter of a San Francisco D.A., and sells her to the international sex trade - only to realize the girl is his daughter too.

“Two-way Mirror” is about an African-American woman on vacation who is seduced by an international con artist, but is actually a modern-day Robinhood, and entangles her in a $10 million scam targeting a  paramilitary drug lord whose sole mission is to even the score..  Finally, “Mario's Luv” is about  a full-ride soccer ace whose dad drowns at sea and must team up with a charismatic drug dealer to support his family, which leads to his arrest.  Mario must now either roll over on his boss who is like a brother or do hard time and walk away from his teenage bride.

Since 2019, he has written seven award winning screenplays, earned over 165 accolades, contributed to indie-film, signed by talent agent and Founder of Resilient Films Studios, Betty Jo Butler, achieved his ambitious goal of three films in development and published three bestselling screenplays.

Karlyle Tomms  Achievements

An award-winning author who grew up in the rural Ozarks,  Karlyle began writing fiction later in life and has written for different regional magazines and newspapers over the years. He has often been selected to speak at both professional and nonprofessional events, as well as radio talk shows and podcasts. His first novel, Confessions from the Pumpkin Patch, won the 2016 New Apple Awards Medal for General Fiction and was endorsed by Marideth Sisco, who is known for her work on Winter’s Bone, starring Jennifer Lawrence, a film which was nominated for four Academy Awards and won the 2010 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize. Karlyle's general method for fiction has been to define a protagonist and allow that character (male, female, or transgender) to tell his or her own story from a first-person perspective as though the protagonist is writing an autobiography. His fictional books are about people overcoming social, psychological, emotional, political, and spiritual challenges. He also has an autobiographical prose and poetry book, The Gulls Are Always Laughing, which is about his own journey of overcoming childhood bullying and trauma and learning to cherish life and spiritual awareness on the Coastal Bend of Texas.

Puneet  Achievements

Puneet is an actor who grew up doing theatre in Kolkata, India. He is currently based in California, USA and has strong roots in India. After resuming his theatre activity in the San Francisco Bay area a few years ago he has earned a number of credits doing short films, series and feature films. Recently, he has taken to writing as well and has written full-length screenplays for short and feature films, as well as dialogue for a few series. He has been recognized by film festivals for some of his work. Some of his work can be viewed on Amazon (in the US) and on Jio Cinema in India.
Along the way he has trained with Rob Nilsson in the Direct Action method of filmmaking. In India he has trained in one of Atul Mongia’s workshops for actors. He speaks impeccable English, flawless Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Bengali. He loves to dabble in poetry as well. Having spent a few years in corporate America, he has a good understanding of global markets and technology trends.
Puneet is driven by the desire to contribute toward making our world a better place by bringing to audiences positive and motivating human stories. To that end, working with LA-based Rukus Avenue Radio, he has completed two full seasons of his uniquely-themed podcast: Igniting Joy.

Shlok Choudhari Achievements

Shlok is a writer-director currently developing his short film 3:30 AM on an international scale. With experience across multiple formats, he has worked on a crime thriller series, a sitcom, an audio show, and film dialogues, assisting writers in conceptualizing, brainstorming, and crafting compelling screenplays.

He previously worked as a Producer’s Assistant at Continuum Media, where he assisted a Tony-nominated producer in ongoing litigation work. As a Film Production Associate, he has written screenplays for independent and student films, scripted a pictorial story, and worked as a Production Assistant on an IFP film. His experience also includes directing independent projects across different storytelling mediums.

Ana Turbides 

Bostonian Born and raised in Massachusetts,  Ana Turbides currently lives in Boston, Ma. Her ultimate dream has always been to be in the film industry. She began  writing a superhero book report at age 12. Her teacher found her writing to be so compelling, she suggested Ana expand it into a book, and the rest is history!  Wanting an even bigger vision to share with the world, she  began to adapt her book into a screenplay, and has spent years turning it into an amazing Sci Fi  franchise! Her love of superheroes as a kid, growing up watching movies like X-Men, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four fed her own imagination, which has now created an ever expanding, fantastic, cinematic universe, in the form of six superhero siblings, known as "THE SUPERIOR SIX!" 

Enrique A Mendoza
Achievements

Enrique Mendoza is an award-winning Guatemalan film director. He received a BS from Full Sail University, he started his career, creating content for Participant Media's digital arm, Take Part, before joining Pivot TV. His short films have premiered at prestigious international festivals, including SCAD Savannah Film Festival and Newport Beach Film Festival with "Glimpse," CURTAS festival de Imaxinario in Spain with "La Leyenda del Sombrerón," and AFRIFF in Nigeria with "The Project". When not behind the camera, Enrique can be found directing global marketing campaigns for Netflix, Hulu, and most recently, the anime streaming service Crunchyroll.

Imre Vizi

Imre Vizi is a producer, songwriter and singer. He is known as a guitarist and live looper, but deep down he is a bass player . He was a member of many ​bands until 2012 when he took part in The Voice of Romania and became known in the whole country as a singer. In 2014 and 2022, Vizi competed in the ​Eurovision National Selection semifinals and finals, both as a singer and as a songwriter. Currently he is releasing original songs, collaborating with local ​and international artists, he is a member of the production team at HaHaHa Production, composing soundtracks for movies and theatre plays, commercials ​and everything music-related. His original songs are influenced by pop, guitar pop, soul, R&B

Andrés Cárdenas Achievements

Andrés is a renowned Colombian composer known for his work in cinema, nominated for the 2023 Macondo Award for Best Original Music for the soundtrack of the film 'Ermitaño'. His career, which dates back to 2006, includes films such as 'Santa María', 'Raíces Azules', 'Nigromante', 'La Marcha del
Hambre', and 'Ermitaño', among many others. He has collaborated with prominent Colombian directors such as Edwin Diaz, Arturo Loaiza, Gabriela Domínguez, and many others, with international commercial releases and participation in prestigious film festivals worldwide. He has also written music for television projects such as 'Airuna', 'Wuinkat', 'Los Espantamigos', 'Historias de Inventos', 'Mujer sin molde', among others, as well as numerous short films,
including the American short film 'Yellow Inside'. Andrés began his musical studies at the age of 8 with his grandfather, starting with guitar, later studying piano and continuing his studies in classical guitar with teachers such as Edwin Guevara and Gentil Montaña. He has participated in international guitar competitions such as the Havana Guitar Festival in Cuba, the World Wide Agustín Barrios Competition, and the Parkening International Guitar Competition, winning two awards at the El Nogal Guitar Festival in 2011 and 2012 respectively. He began his studies in musical composition with teachers Darío Chitiva and Ricardo Márquez, further deepening his knowledge with Gustavo Parra. In 2015, he was a scholarship holder at the VI Music for Film Lab in Mexico City, under the direction of Berta Navarro and tutors Andrés Sánchez, Leo Heiblum,
Eduardo Gamboa, and Peter Golub. He also attended orchestration workshops with masters Tim Davies and composition workshops with Lolita Ritmanis, Laura Karpman, and Gustavo Santaolalla. Andrés is a graduate of the National Pedagogical University and holds a master's degree in musical composition from UNIR (International University of La Rioja - Spain).
